August – Last days of Summer and Back To School! Crazy, Fun Month!
It is August 1st and I can’t believe Summer will be over soon. Dread the long winter! I do LOVE Fall so no one can be happy all 4 seasons!
Enjoy the last few weeks of Summer and planning for back to school. Many of my friends and myself are packing kids up for college and getting others ready for high school. It is an exciting month trying to cram in last minute family time while planning on drop offs, rush and what to pack. Bittersweet time. Excited for new adventures but will miss my family of 5 very much. House will be VERY quiet!
A few years ago I heard about a group of moms that got together and created care packages for their college students and mailed them a few weeks after they left home. They were definitely appreciated as their food supply starts to dwindle and they start to miss home a bit. Pack the box with granola bars, candy, stamps, personalized note cards (they may actually write), pens and pics from home. It will brighten their day! We can help with the personalized notes and memo pads and they ship quick! Create with college or sorority colors.
